Exporting From The Client List

Article Summary

The Client and Caregiver lists function much as an Excel spreadsheet might. In fact, you can also sort the lists and export data to Excel. Similar functionality (and more flexibility) can be found using the Report Writer. You will also find similar function in lists throughout Generations including Payor, Referral Sources, and Physicians.

Please Note: This exports the entire list.

Step One

Use the Column Chooser button to select the desired data. With the Column Chooser you have many fields to choose from, including custom fields. In the below list, we are creating a list of all Clients with addresses.

Step Two

Click the Export button.

and the following dialog opens. Click OK to open the file.

Step Three

The file opens in Microsoft Excel. From here, manipulate as desired; to learn how to work with Excel, please refer to Excel Help.
